Basil may help with the pain. May put 1 drop on a cotton ball or swab and apply around the ear (not in ear canal). May also rub on reflex points on the feet and hands.
Fever: Lavender or Eucalyptus – dilute 1 drop in a carrier oil and rub on feet, spine, back of neck, or behind ears.
Jaundice: Geranium – Apply 1 drop of Geranium oil with a tsp of carrier oil and apply on liver area or bottom of feet. (Do NOT apply oils within 30 minutes before or after UVA light treatment).
Runny Nose: Rub 1-2 drops of Lemon on feet or down spine
Teething: Lavender, Roman Chamomile – Mix 1 drop with 1 tablespoon of carrier oil and massage around the outside of the face along the jaw line or directly on the gums. Or 2 drops of clove in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil and apply to gums. White fir can also be used undiluted.
Thrush: 1 drop of melaleuca in 1 teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil. Swab the affected area inside of baby's mouth 2-3 times a day.
- Always dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil (such as fractionated coconut oil or olive oil) before using it on your baby. Babies and for children under 3 years old, add 1-2 drops of essential oil to 1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil.
- Take care not to get the oil on your baby's hands because they may rub their eyes.
- If an essential oil accidentally gets into a baby's eye, dilute with a vegetable oil, such as olive oil or fractionated coconut oil, NOT with water as it drives the oil deeper. Review other safety information here.
- Use only diluted essential oils in the bath. Babies have very sensitive skin.
- Only use Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils on your baby's sensitive skin.

"My son was really colicy at first. We couldn't seem to calm him tummy down and he was not happy. So I mixed coconut oil and DigestZen together and would rub it on his belly. Within a few minutes he calmed down and was happy again. I would also rub a little Roman Chamomile on his spine to help calm him."
